Tempo Secures $220 Million in Series C Funding to Meet Increasing Demand for its Smart Home Workout Tool.

Tempo, the only smart home gym built with 3D sensors to analyse user movement, providing a unique personal training experience, has raised $220 million in Series C funding.

The San Francisco-based startup has now secured nearly $300 million since its launch, with this third funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and the participation of new investors such as Steadfast Capital Ventures and DCM, Norwest Venture Partners, General Catalyst and Bling Capital.

Tempo provides innovative solutions for at-home workouts with real-time guidance and competition weights supported by AI and 3D sensors, offering users an innovative take on their fitness journey from the comfort of their home.

Following its successful Series C funding, the startup plans to allocate its new capital to developing its AI and 3D sensor technology to further optimise its real-time fitness feedback and personal guidance features, enabling users to achieve even more tangible fitness goals. Tempo will also expand its hardware, software and content offerings to best complement the workout experience and continue to provide a complete home gym and personal trainer experience.
